Bar suspends Norman attorney's license

Franklin has been suspended by the Oklahoma Bar Association from the practice of law for a term of two years and one day, for violations of fiduciary duties while acting as the trustee of a woman's trust fund."Based on the facts before the court, we find a suspension of two years and one day to be the appropriate discipline in light of the egregious nature of his misconduct in the violation of his fiduciary duties," stated an OBA opinion released after Franklin's April 3 hearing.Jan Hubbard, first assistant to the general counsel of the OBA, said Franklin filed for a rehearing, which was denied June 25."His two year and one day suspension is effective from the date of denial," she said.Hubbard said the "significance of the one day is that Mr.
